Electronic helps for language field work
LinguaLinks is designed to help language field workers by providing on-demand advice, tools, information, instructions, and training. LinguaLinks Library is designed to help make you more productive in your language work.
Both are included in our premiere collection of software tools for language work, SIL Language Software 1.0 Plus.
LinguaLinks Library
An electronic library of some of the best resources commonly used within SIL organized into bookshelves. LinguaLinks Library contains the entire contents of 149 books or book-length works and 223 SIL journal issues. There are also hundreds of glossary entries and bibliography citations. The subject index contains more than 3,900 entries.
LinguaLinks Workshops
Workshops is an older software tool that is not Unicode-aware or networkable. We strongly recommend that you use SIL FieldWorks for new language projects and consider exporting any language data already in LinguaLinks Workshops into SIL FieldWorks Language Explorer. Both of these newer tools are included in the SIL Language Software 1.0 Plus.
